(पुणे /मीडिया मंच )

'लेखानिची फुले ' - a compilation of poems contributed by working journalists - was released by noted poet Ashok Naigaonkar, here on Sunday. The compilation has been published by the Pune Union of Working Journalists (PUWJ), in order to encourage journalists, to take up writing poetry as an hobby. A total of 31 journalists - from different media houses of Pune - have contributed with their writings for the same. The poems were selected by Marathi scholar Dr Nilima Gundi.

"I must say that reporters from all age groups have written these poems, and they all have written upon various subjects, such as rural and urban lifestyles, love and sorrow," said Dr Gundi said, in appreciation of the journalists' efforts.

At the end of the function, Naigaonkar said that, he was really glad that some journalists took out time from their busy schedules, to contribute their poems, which were not only good, but also thought provoking. "I must say that Pune is a city full of talented journalists, who are also excellent poets. In a very simple language, they have expressed their feelings, and I really appreciate this initiative by the PUWJ, " he said. Suneet Bhave compered at the function.
