मुंबई प्रेस क्लब के चुनाव में गुरबीर सिंह के पैनल ने मारी बाज़ी

हाल ही में संपन मुंबई प्रेस क्लब के साल 2010 -12 के लिए हुए चुनाव में सुमंत मिश्र के पैनल को मुहं की खानी पड़ी है . इस चुनाव में जहाँ सुमंत मिश्र ख़ुद चेयरमैन पद का चुनाव हार गए वही वे मैनेजिंग कमिटी के सदस्य के लिए भी निर्वाचित नहीं हो सके . इस चुनाव में गुरबीर सिंह के पैनल के जलवे के आगे सभी फ़ीके नज़र आये . प्रेसीडेंट पद के लिए जहाँ गुरबीर सिंह निर्विरोध चुन लिए गए वही चेयरमैन के पद के लिए हुए चुनाव में प्रकाश अकोलकर ने सुमन्त मिश्र को पराजित कर दिया . प्रकाश को 286 वोट मिले जबकि सुमंत मिश्र को सिर्फ़ 111 वोटों से संतोष करना पड़ा . चेयरमैन पद के लिए हुए चुनाव में कुल 414 वोट डाले गए .

इसके अलावा वाइस चेयरमैन के पद पर संतोष बने ने जीत हासिल की . उन्हें 291 वोट मिले . सचिव के पद पर सुनील शिवदासानी ने अपना कब्ज़ा जमाया . उन्हें 277 वोट मिले . इस पद के लिए सी. पी. झा भी प्रबल उमीदवार थे लेकिन उन्हें सिर्फ़ 125 वोट मिले . वही संयुक्त सचिव के पद देवदास मताले और ट्रेजरार के पद पर अजित जोशी निर्वाचित घोषित हुए .

Presidential Election

Mr. Gurbir Singh has been elected as President unopposed.

Chairman

Mr. Prakash Akolkar has been declared elected Chairman. He secured 286 votes
Mr. Sumant Mishra secured 111 votes.

Total Number of votes polled are - 414

Invalid votes are - 17.

Vice-Chairman

Mr. Santosh Bane has been declared elected Vice-Chairman. He secured 291 votes.
Mr. Nandkishor Bhartiya secured 112 votes.
Total Number of votes polled are - 414
Invalid votes are - 11.

Secretary

Mr. Sunil Shivdasani has been declared elected Secretary. He secured 277 votes.
Mr. Chandra Prakash Jha secured 125 votes.
Total Number of votes polled are - 414
Invalid votes are - 12 votes

Joint Secretary

Mr. Devdas Matale has been declared elected Jt. Secretary. she secured 214 votes.
Mr. Ashish Raje secured 191 votes.
Total Number of votes polled are - 414
Invalid votes are - 9

Mr. Ajit Joshi has been declared elected Treasurer. He secured 266 votes.
Mr. Vinod Khatri secured 134 votes.
